Some Hotels are REALLY Missing the Mark!! Don't Pay and Stay..

Being an entrepreneur and constant traveller, it is important to earn rewards with the right companies.    So for me when I have artists and celebrities come in to town, making sure that they have accommodations that work within their budget in a necessity.

What is sad, is that there are many hotel companies that have zero accountability, and rather than operate on a standard of excellence (even if budget friendly), they have rude management and terrible ownership.  With as many people that travel, even the most budget friendly hotel, can at least have class and cleanliness.

I had an experience at a Microtel by Wyndham Hotels in Charlotte, NC a few weeks ago and was shocked.  I had just recently changed from another REWARDS program that was similar in price point with their hotel, but at least their customer service was a little better.  I have only stayed in Wyndham hotels that are higher end, in the past so I allowed pictures on the web and a super cheap rate on Priceline to cloud my judgement and almost cost me a client.

Additionally, here is the message that I received from the General Manager after I had of course called the City of Charlotte and had a Health Inspector come out.  What he did not mention, is that the Health Inspector stated that the room was dirty and needed to be cleaned better but there were no "Bed Bugs" and of course they had changed the sheets and played stupid.  If this blog helps one person, I feel my time and money were well spent.  You do not ever have to pay for poor service and, please make sure that you read hotel reviews when you are looking for a place to lay your head, even if it is only for a moment.
